Catalogue of the exhibition in the Blue Lagoon 2009
The Blue Lagoon is a model house park near Vienna, a manifestation of the dream of the possibly affordable home as a fulfilment of collective desires and life plans, a land of milk and honey of apparent individuality within the limited framework of the industrialised production of different types of single-family homes.
In November 2009, students from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the Kunsthochschule Kassel were able to use this popular excursion destination, which is visited by around 300,000 people every year, as a stage for their interventions. In a two-day exhibition on site, which is documented in this catalogue, the students of the classes Gabriele Rothemann and Norbert Radermacher showed 24 different works: including performances, land art, provocative interventions, fictitious museums and archaeologies, actionist body art.
